I grew up in the alleyways of Xi'an. By five in the morning, the jianbing stall on the corner was already alive — the sizzle of scallions drifting three streets over. That was the first way of life I ever knew.

移民美国后，我在法拉盛看到了另一面：有手艺、有家传食谱、有梦想的华人——被困在每天重复的生活里。不是不想做，是不知道怎么开始，没有门路，没有圈子。

In Flushing, I saw another reality: talented Chinese immigrants with incredible family recipes and big dreams — stuck in the daily grind. Not unwilling to start, just without a path, a network, or a way in.

2023年，我们支起第一个摊位，带来了生煎包、肉夹馍。队伍排到街角，美国人要加单，第三代移民端着餐盒说出这句话。那一刻，我知道了我们要做的事。

In 2023, we set up our first stall. The line wrapped around the block. Americans asked for seconds. A third-generation immigrant said this holding their container. In that moment, we knew exactly what we were meant to build.
